Name: Masanosuke Akitsu
Fandom: Sarai-ya Goyou or House of Five Leaves

History: Masanosuke Akitsu used to serve the government as a retainer for the shogun back in his hometown. He was asked to leave the service because of a flaw in his personality. Masanosuke gets very nervous when people watch him, because of this he's been known to run away from fights - not a good representation for a retainer. His failure as a samurai directly affected the reputation of his family and threatened the position of his younger brother Bonusuke (who is also a retainer for the shogun and a favoured one at that). The misgivings as a samurai caused numerous altercations between the brothers and this is why Masanosuke decided to take on an indefinite leave of service and move to Tokyo. ( + more )

As the newly displaced citizen of Vegas, he tries to make himself useful by helping out with random chores in the hotel. Masanosuke tells himself that this is but a transition and that he won't be mopping floors or dusting foot rugs forever. He has no idea what it takes to really survive in this place, but he'll do what he can. It's a simple equation after all; a bit of work means he doesn't go hungry. This is how he sugarcoats the situation.

In reality, he spends most of his hours trying to swallow his pride and telling himself that none of this is beneath him. That he's not a samurai here and no one from his past is going to jump out from the sand and mock him for this hopeless dive into shame. Masanosuke tries not to live in the past, because he knows that his past is not even as glorious as he wants it to be. He tells himself that it isn't worth losing what little he has now.

Yaichi makes no sound when he's fucking someone.

He is intent, murderous but thorough. Claudio feels like he is dying or on the verge of - his toes curl and he lifts his legs higher than he knew he could. He keeps his eyes closed because he can't keep his mouth shut and even when Yaichi tells him it hurts when he rakes his nails down his arms...it's not like he can do anything about it right now. Bun and I grew up believing that we could be nothing else in this world but swordsmen. We were born into the Samurai class and educated the same way. We believed and we liked that belief. Sometimes, though, it's not always what you had hoped for that's going to happen exactly the way you want it to: People change, personalities change, hearts change. I think about Bun when I practice the sword. I think about all the happy times, the fights and the times when we were children and I was still the sun, moon and stars to my brother. ( + more )
